Comfort Tea Towel, Blankie & Comfort Blanket

A comfort blanket, blankie, comforter and security blanket can help to give toddlers and small children some familiar security when facing the big world. The positive benefits are that it can help your child to adapt to new situations, and also aid in learning.

We have a number of customers who have purchased tea towels and given them to their young children as comforter blankets or "comfort tea towels". They told us that their children have more of an affinity and attachment to the bright, colourful designs on our tea towels than with, for example, a plain coloured towel.

One of our customers told us that her young daughter loves her Counting Sheep tea towel and takes it with her to day nursery. She thinks that the design caught her daughter's imagination because her daughter likes to watch Timmy Time on CBeebies, which is a spin-off from Shaun The Sheep. There is also the added bonus that the colourful design will help her young daughter to recognise the shape of numbers.

We have many other tea towel designs in stock that would make ideal comfort blankets for your young child. Should you purchase to give as a blankie, we suggest that you first wash your new linen tea towel a few times to soften it up. Another suggestion is to sew a fringe border onto all four sides to give a tickle effect.
